The Health Professions Committee is an interdisciplinary group of faculty and staff that provides guidance and support for students aspiring to pursue a career in the health professions. This committee serves pre-health students through individual and group advising, formal coursework, training workshops, faculty led admissions test preparation and facilitating relationships between professional schools and regional health care organizations.
Amanda Siglin, Ph.D., Director of the Health Professions Program and Chair of the Health Professions Committee. Dr. Siglin is a member of both the National and Northeast Associations of Advisors for the Health Professions and is on the Board of Directors for the Southcentral PA AHEC. She administers the program and serves as general advisor for all health professions students.
Randy Bennett, Ph.D., Professor of Biology; advises pre-biotechnology, pre-cytotechnology, and pre-medical students.
James Borgardt, Ph.D., Professor of Physics; advises pre-medical, pre-audiology, pre-dental, pre-optometry, and pre-radiologic science students and teaches in Juniata's MCAT and GRE Prep Courses.

Kathleen Jones, PhD., Professor of Education; advises pre-medical, pre-veterinary and pre-chiropractic students
Darwin Kysor, Ph.D., the Director of the Career Services Office; advises pre-medical and pre-veterinary students, oversees all internships, provides interview training, and gives the Committee input on employment trends in all health professions fields.
