Juniata College’s Master of Applied Ecology and Natural Resource Management is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to understand and address the complex environmental issues facing our planet. Students will prepare for future careers in environmental science and conservation.

This program also aims to foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and ethical and responsible environmental stewardship. Through hands-on research projects and real-world case studies, students will develop the ability to analyze and interpret data, design experiments, and communicate their findings effectively. Students will learn about the importance of approaching ecological challenges with creativity and innovation, and how best to use science to shape environmental policy and decision-making. Designed for in-person instruction, this program is intended for both part-time and full-time degree-seeking students.

Prerequisites for Entry

Entry into the Master of Applied Ecology and Natural Resource Management program requires an earned bachelor’s degree along with the following prerequisites: biology and chemistry courses including labs.
