A lover of the outdoors, his son, wife, and music, Brenton Mitchell ‘06 M.Ed brings a decade of experience serving students in higher education through programming, individual support, and group work. Brenton takes an eclectic approach to counseling drawing on his passion for providing tools that promote self-awareness, self-compassion, furthering resilience, and feminist theory. Additional therapeutic orientations include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Internal Family Systems. “I thought Brenton was going to tell me what to do and instead, my sessions with Brenton provided the opportunity to discover my own answers while learning new, simple, and helpful strategies for addressing challenges I was facing.”
