Jessica is an ‘04 graduate of Juniata. She is one of the part-time counselors at Juniata and has been working at the Glaeser Center since January of 2018. After graduating from Juniata with an undergraduate degree in social work, Jessica worked in the community of Huntingdon while starting her family. In 2010, she completed her master's in social work degree and began her career as a college student counselor at Penn State University. In addition to her work at Juniata, Jessica is a full-time health educator at Penn State, working with students to develop healthy behaviors, including healthier substance use behaviors. Jessica practices from a person-centered foundation, utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing (MI), and mindfulness-based techniques. She enjoys spending time outdoors with her daughter and close friends. The activities she enjoys most include walking her dog, hiking, swimming at Raystown Lake, and travelling to other parts of the country to explore beaches and waterfalls. Jessica lives in Huntingdon with her daughter Maura, their dog Daisy, and their two cats, Blaze and Pistachio.
