Dear Campus Community,

As part of the move to a High Alert level, the all-student quarantine will extend through Tuesday evening. During this period, classes will be offered entirely online and quarantine procedures articulated on Friday remain in effect. The extension is designed to mitigate transmission risk while the College continues testing of close contacts and expands surveillance and targeted testing beginning on Monday morning.

We expect test results on Tuesday that should indicate the extent of transmission from recent positive cases and may identify additional cases present in the campus community. This information will guide the College’s decision to further extend or discontinue the quarantine. As of today, we have received no new additional student positive test results, and yesterday we received negative test results from 56 close contacts and 165 additional student surveillance tests.

Following this email, the Provost’s Office will share additional information with faculty. Area vice presidents will communicate any additional guidance to their respective staffs. As needed, students will receive updates from the Dean of Student’s Office. Please direct questions to the appropriate person as noted above.

Thank you again for your patience and your commitment to the safety of our community.
