Originally from Johnstown, PA, Alisha is excited to return to the rolling hills and lush forests of Pennsylvania after spending two years in the Chicagoland area working for a college access program via AmeriCorps. When Alisha started college she was set on becoming a biomedical engineer, but her liberal arts education at Bucknell University allowed her to discover her zeal for studying education, even without planning on becoming a classroom teacher. Alisha’s study of education through the lens of human diversity led to her work in college access and she is excited to continue to work with students and help them through the college search process as an Admission Counselor at Juniata. She will be supporting students in southeastern PA in areas including Harrisburg, Hershey, Lancaster, & York.
Alisha loves being active and enjoying the outdoors in all seasons through swimming, biking, hiking and learning about local flora and fauna, longboarding, and cross country skiing. She is still mildly terrified of downhill skiing, but will hopefully get to practice more now that she’s back in a location with real slopes. When she’s not outside you can usually find her engrossed in a book or watching long movies with sad endings. Her ten-year plan of personal goals includes getting a pilot’s license and hiking a portion of the Appalachian Trail with her uncles.
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to email or call Alisha!
