Visits to the Glaeser Center for Counseling Services are confidential.  We do not share information about you with anyone outside the Health & Wellness center (including professors and administration) without your express written permission.  The only exception to this rule is when there is the risk of imminent physical injury (such as suicide, assault or abuse).  In these instances, we are bound legally and ethically to act to ensure the safety of all individuals, regardless of confidentiality.

We keep our own separate files at the Glaeser Center for Counseling Services and they do not become part of your Juniata academic record. There are some agencies and institutions that, if you apply to them, will want information about your counseling from us.  We will not release any information to them without your specific written consent to do so.

If you have any questions about this policy, please raise them with your counselor at any time.
