Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Additional hours are available by appointment.
Who can go to the Glaeser Center for Counseling Services?
All full time students can come to the Glaeser Center for Counseling Services. We deal with a wide range of issues involving your adjustment to college life as well as more complex problems. Anyone who wants to talk about anything with a counselor should make an appointment to come in.
What is involved in counseling?
Students sit down with a counselor to talk about problems and what can be done to remedy and/or deal with the situation. Your counselor will listen and help you to clarify your own thoughts, rather than making decisions for you or giving advice.
How long may I remain in counseling?
The Glaeser Center for Counseling Services offers 10 sessions per academic year covered under the Health Services fee. Extended services are available with a fee assessed per session after the 10 covered sessions.
Are visits to the Glaeser Center for Counseling Services confidential?
All visits to the Glaeser Center for Counseling Services are confidential. A counselor may only talk to parents if the student specifically authorizes it or if there is an imminent risk of danger or violence. No one else on campus will have knowledge of the student's visit to the Glaeser Center for Counseling Services without the student's explicit permission. Our files are kept separate from your college files and are destroyed seven years after graduation.
