A TOEFL score of 550 (80 IBT) or better is required for unconditional admission to Juniata.

Applicants without a TOEFL score or a score under 550 (80 IBT) may be admitted conditionally. Juniata offers the institutional TOEFL exam during the orientation when students first come to campus (plus an oral interview and a writing assessment). Most students who test below that level are required to take some courses in the English for Academic Purposes. And often students choose to take Intensive English courses even with scores above those levels because they want to be sure to have a strong foundation in English.

Juniata will also accept the results from approved English programs such as IELTS, STEP-EIKEN, etc.
