The National Conference on Undergraduate Research promotes undergraduate research, scholarship, and creative activities by providing an opportunity for students to present their scholarly work to an audience of peers from around the country and in all disciplines. Now in its 32nd year, NCUR typically draws between 3000 and 4000 undergraduate students and faculty, and offers presentation opportunities in all disciplines: natural and social sciences, humanities, and fine and performing arts.

NCUR 2018 will be held at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmund, OK. Details about the conference can be found at the the NCUR 2018 web site.

Each department will be asked to nominate one student to attend NCUR 2018. Once those nominations have been received, a panel of faculty will select between six and eight students who will be invited to attend the conference. If you are a student who is interested in going to NCUR 2018, speak with your faculty research mentor or your department chair to express your interest in being nominated!

If you have another source of funding to support your attendance at NCUR, such as external grant funds, you do not need to be nominated and selected in order to attend. (Be sure that your alternative source of funding is secured!) We will still coordinate travel, including registration, airline ticket purchase and hotel accommodations. All Juniata students attending NCUR, regardless of funding source, are part of the Juniata delegation and responsible for following the policies established by the college.
