In his role as Vice President for Student Life and Dean of Students, Damschroder actively partners with colleagues across the institution to create seamless educational experiences commensurate with Juniata College’s recognition as a College That Changes Lives. Arriving at Juniata College in June 2016, Damschroder serves on the College’s Senior Leadership Team, and provides vision and support for co-curricular experiences and education. Juniata Athletics, supporting 24 NCAA Division III Varsity sports also reports to Damschroder.  Damschroder completed his Ph.D. in Educational Administration and Foundations at Illinois State University in 2015, a Master’s Degree in Information Systems/ACS at Illinois State University in 2007, and graduated in 1996 with dual Bachelor’s degrees in philosophy and English from Drake University. Before arriving at Juniata, Damschroder served at Illinois Wesleyan University in a variety of student life leadership roles over 17 years at the institution and has contributed through membership, leadership and participation in NASPA: Student Affairs in Higher Education, the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, and as an advisor for the National Society for Leadership and Success.
