Behavior Support Specialist:
Behavior Support Specialist needed to provide support and assistance to adults with
intellectual disabilities in Huntingdon, Mifflin, and Juanita; however could work
in other areas when needed. Responsibilities include behavioral assessment; development
of behavior support plans; training of staff, families, and people receiving services;
monitoring of progress and the coordination of behavior support services across all
environments. We are looking for a person with a strong background in person centered
practices and positive behavioral support. Knowledge of functional behavior analysis,
dual diagnosis (MH/ID), person centered planning, and positive approaches is necessary.
The applicant must be self-motivated and have the ability to work independently. This position requires a Master’s degree in human services or a related field and 2 years of clinical experience; or a Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field and 2 years of clinical experience, PA driver’s license is required
Program Specialist:
Skills of Central PA is currently seeking a Full Time Program Specialist to work in
the Centre/Lycoming/Clinton Regional Office located in State College, PA. The shift
for this position will be Monday through Friday 8am-4pm, with some flexibility required.
Within the established guidelines of the Chapter 5100 and 6400 regulations the Program
Specialist will coordinate training and guidance to pertinent team members which will
assist the people we support to achieve their maximum potential in the areas of activities
of daily living, personal care, functional activities and community participation.
This will be achieved through the use of positive approaches and with respect to the
rights of the people we support.
QUALIFICATIONS - EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (A program specialist shall have one of the following groups of qualifications)
A master’s degree or above from an accredited college or university and 1 year work
experience working directly with individuals with an intellectual disability.
OR
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and 2 years work experience
working directly with individuals with an intellectual disability.
OR
An associate’s degree or 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university
and 4 years work experience working directly with individuals with an intellectual
disability.

- Ability to learn and apply concepts of Everyday Lives, Person Centered Approaches, and applicable regulations.
- Other applicable requirements in accordance with human services regulations, including but not limited to First Aid and CPR certification (within six months of hire) and other required training and annual training requirements per job category.
- Strong ethical conduct and professional demeanor.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills and listening skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize actions required to quickly resolve issues, maintain high levels of productivity, and to plan, coordinate, and lead projects.

in Lewistown, but will also cover homes in Huntingdon & Juniata County. Our LPNs provide
a day-to-day variety of nursing services and care to the people we support by using
and maintaining established nursing objectives and standards, adhering to current
nursing law. They Implement and evaluate preventive treatments respecting the rights
of the people we support. Candidate must be flexible, a team player and able to take
direction and follow through on the coordination of medical care for the folks that
we support. Effective written and verbal communications skills are necessary to be
successful in this role; administrative experience preferred.
LPN license required; experience preferred. Valid PA Driver's license and pre-employment physical and drug screen are also required.
This position is based on a standard 8A-4P work week, however, nurses are required to be on call for the homes they support including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
